Policies: An environmental policy or sustainability policy is only effective if it helps to drive efficiency in your business. What is a sustainability coach?

Our role is to teach you how to integrate sustainability principles into your business practices.

Coaching includes helping you to understand the language, map out your risks and identify your opportunities. Whether you need a sustainability report, some help with environmental footprinting or a comprehensive sustainability strategy, we will guide you through the steps so that you can feel confident implementing a sustainable business plan going forward.

Can I still make a profit whilst being environmentally friendly?

Short answer? Yes!

If implemented correctly and embedded in your business processes, a sustainability strategy can not only save you money through identifying efficiencies but can also drive profit through strengthening your brand, your supply chain relationships and your opportunities for attracting investment.

Do I need a strategy?

If you intend to take sustainability seriously then you need a plan. Something that is written down and applied consistently. You do this in your general business activities – and sustainability is no different. If you don’t make a plan, you won’t know what changes you’re making and whether they’ve worked. A strategy does not have to be complicated but it does need to drive consistency.

What’s the one thing that I can do to make my business more sustainable?

Follow the Resource Hierarchy: Avoid, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Dispose.

Whenever you make decisions in your business, whether it’s about your electricity bills, a new product or service, or even a business event – apply the resource hierarchy to your decisions. Can you Avoid doing it, or buying it, or using it? If not, can you reduce what you do, or buy, or use? Etc.
